The photograph I used as a reference for this picture struck me as soon as I saw it. To me it represents the two things that I loved most about my visit to Vietnam. That is the warmth of the people and the vibrant colours that envelop them.

The grass and rice paddies are so green, the sky so blue, the lanterns an explosion of colour. The red of the aromatic incense sticks burning outside the richly coloured temples. Even the food was so fresh and plentiful, every meal was like eating a rainbow. Do I need to go on. I loved every minute of it.
